Weather and what to wear
As the famous scottish comedian Billy Connolly said there is never bad scottish weather, just bad cloths worn. And another infamous saying "if you dont like the weather, wait 5 minutes".
Thanks to its oceanic climate,Scottish weather is relatively mild during the month of October, the average overnight low will see temperatures fall to 7°C (45°F) by first thing in the morning.Overall, the average daily temperature is 55 to 65°F.
We would recommend you bring warm coats and sweaters aswell as hats and gloves as some days and especially within the highlands there can be a small gusts of cold wind.
As we will be walking outside of pavement and footpaths sometimes to get magnificent coastal and landscape views in fields we do recommend comfortable walking and hiking shoes for those occasions. In the city and towns in the evenings casual footwear and clothes is more than perfect.
