Day 1: Arrival and transfer to hotel.

Arrival into Terceira, transfer and check-in to hotel. Meet and greet with guide and group. Afterwards free time to enjoy the surroundings and rest after a long days travel.

Day 2: Walk through Angra town and visit to the North.

After breakfast we begin our day with a walking tour of the island capital, Angra do Heroismo. A Unesco world heritage site, this town is brimming with colorful streets and lanes, with buildings dating back from the 16th century. Enjoy a to visit the Forno Bakery and try some Quejada (Portuguese cheesecake). We visit the Duke of Terceira Garden filled with tropical plants brought from the former portuguese colonies across the world.

After lunch we then head north of the island and visit a wine museum to try some terceiran wine grown from volcanic soil. Finishing the day we head to the Serra do Cume viewpoint that overlooks the terceiran plateau, a flat valley of lush greenfields surrounded by volcanic summits.

Day 3: Natural wonders of Terceira

In the morning we head to the center of the island and visit the Furnas do Enxofre Hotsprings. Feared by locals centuries ago, who believed it was a gateway to another world. We enjoy a chance to stoll across the walking trails of this mystical land. Afterwards we head to cheese farm and get a chance to try some organic naturally prepaired island cheese.

After lunch we head to the Algar do Carvao Caves. Finishing the day with a visit to the Mirador of Santa Barbara viewpoint.

Overnight Terceira

Day 4: Transfer to Flores Island

Departing Terceira we head to the airport in the morning take an island hopper flight to the island of Flores. Translated from the portuguese word for flower (due to they´re abundance on the island) it t is he most western island of the Azores, and the most westerly point in all of Europe. Known by the Portuguese as 'Heaven on Earth'. This island is blessed with some jaw-dropping scenery formed by the volcanoes and steep slopes that the volcanos have formed over the course of millions of years. After our arrival and lunch we visit the Whale Museum and discover the importance of this former industry had on the island and its locals.

After check in free time to enjoy the surrounding village of Santa Cruz da Flores.

Day 5: Discovering the charms and beauty of Flores

We begin with a visit to the church of Fazenda de Santa Cruz, stop at some viewpoints and a visit to the Lagoa Negra Volcanic Calderas. Onwards we head westwards and visit the Ribeira Grande waterfalls and enjoy a chance for a short walk to Poco Ribeira. A group of magnificent waterfalls jetting off from the mountain tops. We advise everyone to have your cameras fully charged with space as we´ll a galore of places to take pictures. Afterwards we stop for lunch in Faja Grande, and onwards we enjoy a walk to Poco do Bacalhao, and a visit to the village of Aldea da Cuanda. Finishing with a visit to the viewpoints of Caveira and Faja do Conde.

Overnight in Flores

Day 6 : From Flores to Sao Miguel

Departing Flores after breakfast we head east on a short island flight to the largest of the Azores Islands. Sao Miguel, the administrative centre of the islands.

After our flight arrives we have lunch. Later we hop on a boat and explore the seas for some Whale & Dolphin watching.

Free evening to enjoy the delights of Sao Miguel

Overnight in Sao Miguel/Ponta Delgada

Day 7: Visit to the lush green northeast of Sao Miguel

In the morning we head north and visit the Ribeira Das Caldeiroas Natural Park. This lush green park filled with streams,watermills and a botanical garden that takes one aback to an ambience of Jurassic park, with its mighty ferns and other ancient plants. Afterwards we pass through the village of Nordeste and head towards the viewpoints of Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada. Stop for lunch in the village of Povocao with a chance to enjoy one of the local fish delicacies. Afterwards free time to stroll around the historic village quarter or relax by the sea. Returning on our way back we take the scenic southern coastal route.

Overnight in Sao Miguel/Ponta Delgada

Day 8: Visit to a Pineapple Plantation and the Hotsprings of Furnas.

Free morning to stroll around the capital of the Azores Ponta Delgada. After lunch we head to a Pineapple Plantation and discover how this tropical fruit is grown. With a chance to try some homemade Pineapple Liquor. Afterwards we head to Furnas. Home of the thermal springs of the island. Enjoy a walk around the Terra Nostra Gardens and then visit one of the springs and see how the Cozido Stew (our soon to be dinner is cooked). After dinner, what better way to finish the day than to bathe in the hotsprings next door of Dona Beija. A great way to finish the night.

Day 9: Visit to the Lago da las Sete Cuidades Crater and Tea Plantation

After breakfast, we head west towards the Lago da Las Siete Cuidades. Two stunning lakes situated at the bottom of a volcano crater. We enjoy a walk down and enjoy the views of the picturesque dormant volcano crater. After lunch we head to Europe´s oldest Tea Plantation and try some organically grown tea and discover how this world famous drink is cultivated.

Finishing the evening we have a chance to enjoy the nightlife scene in Ponta Delgada. A perfect way to finish our tour.

Day 10: Deparutre

Departure,transfer to airport and return home.
